About Nostalgic Hammond
Hammond's history wasn't made in boardrooms. It was made at the Cave Tangi on a Friday night, at Strawberry Stadium on a Saturday afternoon, in the hallways of Hammond High when "Tornadoes" meant something you felt in your chest.
These designs come from photographs, postcards, yearbooks — the things that survived when the buildings didn't. Every piece tells a story that somebody who was there will recognize immediately, and everybody else should know.
This is Hammond. Not the Hammond of master plans and economic development committees. The Hammond that danced at the Cave Tangi, cheered at Strawberry Stadium, and sent postcards that said "Greetings from Hammond" in letters six feet tall.
